I’ve finally found something that works!!

 

 

 

OK, Shay being the resourceful man he is mixed up a vile concoction of chemicals and liquids (probably containing some nuclear toxic waste among other things). He then dipped the front of my DeLorean frame into his holding tank, and left it simmer for 8 hours.

 

The stuff (whatever it is) literally ate the epoxy off the frame!

 

The only problem now is, his tank is not big enough to fit the frame – it can only just fit the first 3 feet of each end at one time. So, it will not work on the bit in the middle (6 feet of epoxy coated steel). It will not even submerge the engine cradle at the back.

 

So naturally, we are having a tank custom made to fit the frame in! This is a good example of why classic car restorations can take a long time.
