Removing the lower engine cradle plate

Now, moving to the back of the frame, I decided to replace the plate at the bottom of the engine cradle, as it had a tear in the metal (see 2nd photo) where the frame previously hit a raised drain cover on a road back in America. Also, removing this plate allowed me easier access to remove the epoxy paint from the area above it.

To remove the plate, I first removed the paint around the edges to be able to see the original spot welds. I then drilled out the spotwelds, and the plate came off fairly easily.
