Ebay Sandblaster
On January 30th, my brother
Maurice came to Wicklow for the day to help me with the frame. We had bought a
small sandblaster from a guy called cutstools on
www.ebay.co.uk, in the hope that I could save some money by doing the
sandblasting myself.
To cut a long story short, it
took nearly 3 months to arrive, and then arrived damaged. The pressure gauge
was not working and was bent. This didn't affect the operation of the sandblaster
itself, but was a bit annoying. We rented a compressor from the local tool hire
place to run the sandblaster. Unfortunately, the sandblaster was not suited to
this task - it was ok for cleaning surface rust off bare metal, but would make
no impact on any remaining pieces of epoxy on the chassis.
Back I went to using Nitromors and the heat gun...
